“Story Tellers - Telling the Stories God Is Writing”

We all have a story worth telling that is part of the big story God is writing. PNA Connect is a place for all of us to gather and tell those stories. Whether you are a pastor, a church leader, or a follower of Jesus who calls a Church of God home, your story is valuable and you belong at Connect!

SCHEDULE:
Check-in begins Friday evening October 4, 2024 at 5:00pm. A light meal is offered at 6:00pm, with the first session beginning at 7:00pm. Saturday sessions begin at 9:00am and conclude at 5:00pm. Lunch is included, as are snacks and refreshments throughout the day. Our last session will be Sunday morning October 6 at 10:00 when we gather with the Centralia congregation. BREAKOUTS:

This year we’re offering two breakout sessions on Saturday afternoon that will offer the following breakouts at each session:

#1 Church Communications: Your Church's Welcome Mat

Learn how your church's online presence makes a difference in your community; both for those checking you out, and for your regular attenders. We will discuss how a website and online listings act as the digital welcome mat of your church and ways you can effectively communicate with guests. This session will be beneficial for congregations of any size and is not just for church leadership. A time for Q&A and assessment will be built into the session.  This breakout is being led by Danielle Kays, Communications & Graphics Director at Centralia Community Church.

#2 Transitioning Well - Preparing for a new season of ministry

Every church, no matter its size, will experience a senior leadership transition.  Join us to learn what factors a Board and congregation should consider when going through pastor transition, and hear from two of our churches who have recently transitioned well.  This breakout is being facilitated by Frank Borst, PNA Executive Director with representatives from New Horizons (Spokane) and C3 (Richland).

#3 Sabbath Living - Practicing the Way of Jesus

Jesus tells us in Mark 2:27 that “the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” Learn the difference between practicing Sabbath and just “taking a day off” by understanding the rhythms of stop, rest, delight, and worship that Jesus modeled for us. Pastors Matt and Lora Klaus from Olympia-Lacey Church Of God will be leading this breakout, fresh off of their own Sabbatical experience.

#4 Living An Integrated Life - saying “YES” to God’s invitations

An integrated life means bringing the segregated areas of life together into one harmonized whole. A life which isn't integrated will end up as a distracted and ineffective mess. We’re designed to live a life patterned after Jesus and when we say ‘yes’ to the invitation we experience the goodness of God. This breakout is brought to you by Devin Burton, Senior Pastor of Centralia Community Church, and Shay Pendergraft, Senior Pastor at Next Step Fellowship in Renton.
